The Kyrgyz government has stopped allowing the export of valuable metals, old metal scraps, and certain types of metal waste to countries outside the Eurasian Economic Union (EEU). This decision, made by the Cabinet of Ministers, will be in effect for six months starting from August 7th. The ban applies to quantities of precious metals and their basic materials weighing up to 500 kg.

Additionally, the government has also disallowed the export of old metal scraps, certain types of metals, and their waste to places outside the EEU customs area during this same time frame. The Ministry of Economy and Commerce had been instructed to inform both the World Trade Organization and the EEU about these limitations.
