As part of Iran’s Defense Industry Day observance, a noteworthy event unfolded with the introduction of the Mohajer-10, a new medium-altitude unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV), graced by the presence of Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi. The Mohajer-10 boasts remarkable specifications, presenting itself as a formidable addition to Iran’s UAV fleet. It claims an operational range of up to 2,000 km, a flight duration of up to 24 hours, and an impressive operational altitude of around 7.3 km (24,000 ft). The UAV can reach speeds of up to 210 km/h and possesses a carrying capacity of up to 300 kg, accommodating payloads like the Ghaem family of guided bombs and Almas guided missiles.

Drawing comparisons with Iran’s existing reconnaissance and strike UAVs, such as the Shahed-129 and Ababil-5, it’s evident that the Mohajer-10 occupies a similar niche. However, it’s important to note that the ultimate success of this UAV hinges on a variety of factors, including its competitive cost, manufacturing feasibility, and how it stacks up against other UAVs developed by Iranian counterparts. This unveiling underscores Iran’s continued commitment to enhancing its technological prowess in the defense sector.
